Vegetable pulps and preparations
Vegetable pastes and pulps are prepared as described for vegetable purees. However, pastes and pulps have a higher amount of solids, and are usually used as components of other foods (e.g., sauces). Examples include: potato pulp, horseradish pulp, aloe extract, salsa (e.g., chopped tomato, onion, peppers, spices and herbs), sweet red bean paste (an), sweet coffee bean paste (filling), tomato paste, tomato pulp, tomato sauce, crystallized ginger, and bean-based vegetable dessert (namagashi).
